Dr. Watson serves as CEO of Southern Apothecary, Managing Director of TASC Labs, LLC, and is on ASTM International’s D37 Committee on Cannabis. Her work has been published in leading journals, including Biochemistry, Journal of Nutrition, and Journal of Mass Spectrometry.
Her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry focusing on mass spectrometry from the University of Alabama gained her expertise in oils and fats, reverse engineering, and industrial problem-solving.
After finding that products on the market did not meet her high standards for her own personal use, she started making her own tinctures and infusions. It became evident they are more effective than most on the market, so she co-founded Southern Apothecary to provide single-strain, small-batch hemp extracts from organic hemp grown in the USA.
